Position: Wireless Applications Engineer

Geomax Mobile is looking for a Computer or Electrical Engineering grad who is prepared to help us expand our leadership role in the development of exciting new wireless applications.
Geomax Mobile has developed a leading transportation sector solution that enables fleet communication on wireless handheld devices. Our software products can be categorized into three broad areas including wireless transportation management, location based services and middleware applications that support data synchronization and security. 

We are looking for a Computer or Electrical Engineering grad who is prepared to help us expand our leadership role in the development of exciting new wireless applications. The successful candidate should have the following skills and qualifications: 

• Proficiency in Java (J2ME,J2SE, J2EE)
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven problem solving abilities

One or more of the following would be an asset:  

• C/++, C#
• WAP, XML knowledge including web services (XML-RPC and SOAP)
• J2EE Application Server (Tomcat, JBoss)
• UML and OO working experience
• Experience with Linux, MySQL, and open source technology
